The Shipping Broadcast

It's been 100 years since the BBC Shipping broadcast began. So for that milestone and the hundreds of people using it for work or for sleep I made a foldable, double sided, A1 poster. Each side represents the people who use the broadcast from the sailors to the sleepers. Everyone has a part in the continuing of this splendid broadcast.

One side is organized with repeating words into the many areas of the map and with the name highlighted. This is to represent those who listen to it as though it is a song, the words are cryptic to them but are relaxing. This is why I chose a more relaxed approach to the design.
Whereas the other side has frantic writing, as though someone is working and trying to write down as much of the broadcast as possible. It is also arranged to look like the map including the coastal and inshore broadcasts.
